OIC Australia is supporting OIC Cambodia to provide speech therapy to Cambodians with communication difficulties and swallowing difficulties. This is achieved by partnering with schools, clinics, NGO’s and government education and health services. These partnerships help OIC Cambodia ensure local knowledge and context are integrated into quality services.

OIC Cambodia does this by:

• Establishing community partnership that provide short-term speech therapy consultancy to specific client groups

• Running pilot projects of speech therapy support to improve the inclusion of children with communication difficulties in government primary schools and preschools

• Partnering with the social enterprise therapy business “Happy Kids Clinic” and other private sector services

• Collaborating with other stakeholders to develop and evaluate models of speech therapy
